Stares Into Space

“Apple didn’t move when we entered. It was as if she didn’t know we were even there. She was just staring into blank space. What was that line by Elliot Smith? ‘Stares into space like a dead china doll?” It was like that. - Donya Marie (from City of Rain)

Donya Marie

Full view & Details Donya Marie is a fictional character I illustrated from Pocholo Goitia's City of Rain.

“I feel like we’re all cursed, my barkadas and me,” she continued. “Like, as I said, we’re doomed to some terrible fate. I don’t know what we did to deserve this. But it’s as if we’re being shot down one by one like hunted ducks. And I feel that I’m next.” - Donya Marie (from City of Rain)

Sanity

Full View & Details here Remember when you paint just for the sake of getting back your sanity, being drawn from the corporate world and all? well, i guess this is one of those artworks for me.
I'm fascinated with these minimal style illustrations recently, though I'm still trying to experiment more on these minimal wash effects, I'd like to call these the "happy accidents" where you just let the water take precedence to the outcome of your artwork. click HERE for full view & details

Photo of Julius Sebastian
On few moments that Julius Sebastian's not living through art, he argues with his alter-ego and stares at the wall. He studied Advertising Fine Arts in the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Manila, Philippines, where he was formerly the vice-president of the campus art group, Gintong Susi. He is also a member of the Art Association of the Philippines. Although he has a loving relationship with painting and illustrations, he has grown to love his entry to the "real world" of corporate dressing - designing and developing websites and takes inspiration from the most mundane things. A designer by day, doodles on walls and other random objects, with his Weewilldoodle friends at night. He currently works as an Art Director for an American based online marketing company, with his group of creative people here in the Philippines they mostly work play with Website Development, Wordpress, Corporate Branding, SEO, Digital Marketing and Graphic Design. Recently, expresses doubtful speculations about kopong-kopong's existence in the mid 50's (who on earth is kopong-kopong, anyway?)
